Take your significant other into a moment of Zen while you watch the sun ease the stress out of you. The gentle music playing in the background really calms any worries you have. Relax in one of London’s rooftop venues as the rush of horns go off in the busy capital right under you. There’s not a single thing that can ruin the moment you’re experiencing. Here are London’s best rooftop bars and restaurants that will give you a view you’ll never forget.

The Oxo Tower Terrace

Many of the rooftop luxurious in London come with high costs. They are, after all, the epitome of an elegant wine and dine experience. The Oxo Tower, owned by the Harvey Nichols group, is nothing short of brilliant. The real stunner is their set-menu deals, though. A course of two with a bottle of wine only costs £25. The Terrace is definitely worth a visit—despite being amongst the best central London hotels, it remains relatively cheap. It makes for the perfect romantic getaway. The quality of service and food is amazing, and you may also catch their live music nights.

Queen of Hoxton

If you can’t be bothered to throw on a suit for a ceremonial outing, then the Queen of Hoxton is your answer. The hipster magnet has gained its popularity for being one of the less formal rooftop bars in London. There are sun loungers and park benches spread over the massive roof area. It’s a perfect escape from life—grab a nice cold beer
and take a breath of fresh air with your friends and co-workers.

The Roof Gardens

Richard Branson just popped out a couple million and turned his dream into a reality. The elevated 1.5 acre paradise sits 100 ft. above the Kensington High Street, a view that you cannot miss. The complex includes a private members club, a Spanish garden, the Tudor Garden, and the Woodland Garden. Certainly a personal favourite, the Roof Gardens are a perfect place to take your loved one for their birthday or an anniversary.
The Spanish Garden really provides a rustic feel with its Alhambra theme. The Tudor Garden is a green haven with fragrant shrubs and British roses spread throughout. The food is reasonably priced if you take into account the surroundings. You would expect it to be much more expensive than it is.

Madison Roof Terrace

The Madison Roof Terrace is an elegant hidden gem above the One New Change shopping complex. The chunky wooden tables and starchy leather interior really adds a stylish feeling to the experience. Go for some Mediterranean cuisine if you’re feeling peckish—it’s not too big in the kitchen department, but certainly makes up for it with the drinks. A mind-blowing view of St. Paul’s Cathedral in one of the city’s largest rooftop terraces is certainly worth trying out. The weekend is the best time to go; the relaxing and laid-back environment is calming to say the least. The post 5pm weekday business drinks are the hours you should avoid.
