There is nothing like a great family trip. Families spend all that time arguing with each other, and then getting along, and then arguing again, and the cycle just keeps going and going. This 200 mile long strip of islands of the coast of North Carolina, in the Atlantic Ocean, are a great place to travel to for families. The Outer Banks is best known for their vast availability of beachfront destinations, which boast all kinds of waterfront activities for both children and adults. There are also great opportunities for swimming, boating, biking down the coast line and a million other things. The area is renowned for its temperate weather and friendliness towards children. It is a very popular destination during the Summer, especially. It is also one of the few places remaining in the United States, in which wild horses still roam.

The children may find this to be boring, but once they see those great buildings and memorials, they will likely change their mind. The chance to have fun, and learn about the nation at the same time is a great idea for family travel.
